Antonia Lorenz, Philipp Zeller and Isabel von Bernstorff came together as an ensemble in 2006 based on their success at the German Music Competition (Deutscher Musikwettbewerb) within the nationwide selection of “Concert of Young Musicians”. The enthusiasm for this unusual instrumentation and positive audience reaction led them to continue working as a regular trio and to give guest performances in numerous renowned concert series. Their debut CD with works of Schnyder and Glinka was released in February 2012.
Antonia Lorenz, born in Oldenburg, studied with Prof. Sabine Meyer and Prof. Reiner Wehle in Lübeck, later with Prof. Martin Spangenberg in Weimar, where in 2008 she passed her final exam with distinction. Since 2010 she is the principal clarinetist of the Oldenburgisches Staatstheater. Previously she held the same position at the Staatsoper in Stuttgart and the Komische Oper in Berlin.
